As a teen mom, Lydia balanced the challenges of raising two sons while continuing her higher education and working to build a stable future for her family. She proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, where she served for ten years as a Flight Chief of Personnel (E-6), with her final assignment at Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs. Beyond her military career, Lydia is an author and advocate. In 2020, she published Don't Turn Back, a survival guide for women escaping domestic violence.
As Southwest Regional Director for Latinos For America First, Lydia advocated for Latino civic engagement, education reform, and economic opportunity, ensuring Hispanic communities had a voice in key decisions. She also serves on Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony's Task Force to Protect Women's Sports, working to uphold fairness and integrity in athletics. Trustee Dominguez is a proud mom of two children, one of whom is in high school and another who graduated from the Clark County School District.
